The Arts Trail Studios is a not-for-profit organisation which ensures all aspects of our work are provided regardless of age, colour, creed, sexuality or disability. We exist to:
- support artists from deprived and unsupported backgrounds or those with mental and/or physical disabilities;
- offer the general public opportunities to develop a wider appreciation of the visual arts in all their fomts by providing easy and relaxed access;
- encourage artists at every level to develop their skills and gain access to the wider professional arts community and commercial opportunities;
- develop the range of local opportunities, venues and relationships to benefit artists, the public, organisations and businesses.
How do we do this?
We offer an open door five days a week (Tue-Sat) at the studios at 8-16 Russell Street in the centre of Leamington Spa where the passing public can walk in to a friendly and open environment and meet local artists at work and see the work of many more. A number of local artists use the studio to paint during the week and are always happy to discuss their very varied work with members of the public who come in.
We act as an arts hub for the visual arts in the area, linking artists, art groups, community organisations and local businesses and institutions. This helps to develop a wide range of outlets for artists to display and sell their work, and at the same time responds to requests from local businesses and organisations for displays.
We foster the development of new and current talent of all levels by offering individual advice and support.
We offer a full range of high quality scanning printing and framing on site.
We display a wide range of artwork in the studio and are always keen to hear from new artists who wish to join us.
We offer the studios as a venue for use by a wide range of organisations such as seasonal shows, comedy festixels, cinema festivals, and workshops.
Volunteers are always welcomed and we can always find a way to make use of whatever skills or experience they bring. The volunteers themselves gain in many ways in a friendly environment, learning about the art world, techniques, and marketing.
